Moong dal payasam is usually made during special occasions or festivals like Navratri or Ganesh Chaturthi.

Payasam or kheer usually refers to the Indian style of pudding made with milk.
It is the most delicious yet healthiest dessert made with minimal cooking.

The fantastic combination of lentils, jaggery, and dry fruits is well-balanced and rich.

I also love to add cinnamon powder and ginger powder as they give the Payasam a rich aroma.
