There might be several ways to make tahini as per different dietary requirements. But, after trying a suggested recipe by a friend living in the middle east, I must admit this is the most authentic way of making this wonderful creamy tahini sauce. I bet you would want it more.

What is Tahini Sauce?

Tahini sauce is made by grinding roasted sesame seeds, garlic, salt, lemon juice, olive oil, and water into a smooth paste.

It is derived from the Mediterranean regions and parts of Africa and is added to several dishes to add more flavor to the food; the bonus point is that it’s vegan and gluten-friendly.

Tahini sauce complements well with falafels, shawarma, salads, and sandwiches. The flavor is creamy, nutty, tangy, and garlicky.

It is an excellent addition to your Kid’s diet as the sesame seeds in it contain an impressive amount of protein, B-vitamins, fiber, and calcium, all of which are required during the growth years.

Cooking Instructions

1. Firstly, dry roast 1/4 cup sesame seeds in a pan on medium heat until they start to pop. This step is essential as roasting brings up a pleasant aroma to the sauce.
